Council asking for community feedback on foreshore master plan project

Brisbane City Council is planning to create a 20-year Master Plan – the ‘Wynnum Manly Lota Foreshores Master Plan’ project – to transform and rejuvenate the Wynnum, Manly, and Lota foreshores. The project will explore possibilities to enhance connectivity and create more opportunities for recreation and relaxation.
Here is brief summary of what the plan is aiming to achieve…
Wynnum, Manly and Lota foreshores is one of our key leisure and lifestyle destinations that will be revitalised in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond.
Council is committed to protecting and improving our city’s natural areas while also promoting active, healthy lifestyles for residents.
The Master Plan project will explore possibilities to rejuvenate the foreshores, enhance connectivity along the foreshores and create more opportunities for recreation and relaxation.
Protecting the heritage values and considering the unique features of the foreshores will also shape the 20-year Master Plan.

“The Foreshore Master Plan is an exciting opportunity to enhance our waterfront for locals and visitors alike.” said Wynnum/Manly Councillor Alex Givney.*
“A well-thought-out plan should strike a balance between preserving our natural beauty, improving recreational spaces, and supporting local businesses.”
Public consultation on the project is already underway and you can see more information on the project and feedback to date (as well as submit your own feedback) here:
