History Alive
Not quite Wynnum Central but not that far away! History Alive, A Journey Through Time is on this weekend 11-12 June at Fort Lytton National Park.
The Wynnum Central connection is Chantelle Davie, owner of WynnumCentral Member Subets hairdressing in Edith Street, as an avid historical re-enactor, is playing a central role in the event. You may remember Chantelle as the medieval damsel on the front cover of the Wynnum Herald for the the Republic of Wynnum’s Independence Day in November last year. This year over 400 people will be dressed in period costume from periods from the Vikings to WWII.
Since there is no parking on site, the organisers have arranged shuttle buses during the day from Sandy Camp Road, opposite Iona College and from Wynnum North Station.
