WynnumCentral poll predicts Joan Pease to retain seat
With many of our polls, including election polls, we have only had very small samples – this time just 50 people participated.
But as we’ve stated in the past, some of these small sample polls have been quite accurate.
This time 42% said they either had or would be voting for the ALP’s Joan Pease, with LNP candidate Chad Gardiner trailing at 28% (the colours in the pie chart do not align with the traditional colours of the parties). One Nation and the Greens came in at 12% each, and independent candidate Craig Moore got 4% of the primary vote and Family First candidate Jim Vote 2%.
Although counting has not finished, Joan Pease (pictured) is currently in the lead with 41.95% of first preference votes with a predicted 57.49% two party preferred vote so on that basis would retain the seat (data from Courier Mail website).
Overall at the state level it is almost neck and neck!
We’ll share more of the data from the survey soon.
